New Measures During Class Suspension Period (29 June 2009)

G7 Streaming Test

The G7 Streaming Test that was scheduled for Sat, 4 July 2009 will be postponed. Further details will be provided by Secondary Division at a later date.

Pre-Secondary 1 Attainment Test

The Pre-Secondary 1 Attainment Test will be held on Tues, 14 July 2009 as scheduled. All G6 students should sit for the tests as required by the EDB.

Musicians Dinner cancelled

Musicians Dinner (29 June 2009) will be cancelled as 2 DBS boys have contracted HSI. Details of contingency measures will be disclosed.

140th Anniversary Homecoming Concerts cancelled

Due to prolonged dispersion of human swine flu, the DBS 140th Anniversary Homecoming Concerts on the 3rd and 4th July 2009 are cancelled.

Ticket holders of the Concerts can arrange refund by presenting the tickets during the following period:

New Measures During Class Suspension Period

The Education Bureau has announced that classes will not be resumed for the current school year.

All parents please read Cir 294, 295 and PTA Cir 024 available on the Intranet regarding all the new measures for school suspension.

Grade 5 Students will take the Math Assessment on 29/6/09 and GS Assessment on 30/6/09. Please refer to Cir 294 for details.

All G6 parents are required to return to school on 7/7/09 to collect your child's SSPA result slip & report card. Pls refer to Cir 294 for details.

Notice for Incoming Grade One Parents

The Incoming G.1 Parents' Briefing and the Demonstration Concert scheduled for Saturday, 13 June 2009 and Saturday, 20 June 2009 respectively will be postponed. Further information will be announced in due course.

PTAPD Committee

The Graduation Dinner Party for Class of 2009 scheduled for Friday, 19th June 2009 will be postponed. Pls refer to PTA Cir 024 for details.

140th Anniversary Homecoming Concert 2009

The DBS Music Department, DBS Parent-Teacher Association, DBS Alumni Parents' Association, Diocesan School Old Boys' Association and DBS Fund Raising Committee proudly present to you – 140th Anniversary Homecoming Concert 2009. The Homecoming Concert is an annual event with multiple purposes: (a) to honour the outstanding achievements of our boys at this year's Music Festival, with DBS being awarded the "Outstanding School of the Year", (b) to raise fund for the School Improvement Projects and (c) to welcome all new students and parents. This year it also serves the purpose to celebrate 140 years of history and achievements of DBS.

DBS Tree Planting Day 2009

The annual Tree Planting Day is a fund raising activity as well as a conservation education programme for students and parents. We believe that through physical involvement and active participation in tree planting, our boys will have a better understanding of the importance of environment conservation, and develop a sense of respect for nature.
