G 7 (F.1) Admissions:

1. Distribution of G7 (F.1) application forms: 16^th October 2023 - 17^th November 2023
   Deadline for the return of G7 application forms: 17^th November 2023 (Friday)



2. Application forms and relevant information can be obtained through one of the following means:
   
   
   1. Post an A4 size self-addressed stamped ($5.4) envelope to the school
   2. Come in person to the school (Mon - Fri: 9am - 5pm; Sat: 9am - 1pm)
   3. Download the forms from the school website (link)
   
   Applicants will not be asked to fill in any information concerning their family income on the application form.



3. Annual school fees are as follows:
   
   Secondary 1 - 6 (NSS, G7 - G12)   $57,830
   International Baccalaureate (G10 Bridging Course)  $57,830
   International Baccalaureate (G11)  $132,500
   International Baccalaureate (G12)  $132,500
   
   School fees will be paid in ten installments from G7 to G11 in both NSS and IB.
   For G12 in NSS and IB, the installments will be seven and eight respectively.
   
   The school fees may be revised, subject to EDB's approval.



4. Interviews:
   
   Interviews will be conducted in both Cantonese and English. Candidates may be asked to participate in the music auditions and sports trials.

   Criteria for the selection of Grade 7 (Form 1) boys	Weight
   Academic results	60%
   Extracurricular achievements	20%
   Performance in the interviews	15%
   Others (e.g. father, brother are old boys; brother studying in DBS)	5%



6. Release of results:
   
   Results will be released in late March or early April 2024. Parents of the successful applicants will be asked to sign a Letter of Undertaking (Enrollment Letter) in late March or early April 2024 declaring that their son will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation.



7. Admission and Selection:
   
   DBS will not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation. All Grade 7 (Form 1) students will be admitted through the School's own admission and selection process. Our selection process is based on a fair and transparent principle. Parents are advised that it is not necessary to obtain many reference letters, including those from coaches and instructors, at an excessive cost.
