Chief Advancement Officer

KeyResponsibilities:

i. Lead and oversee all external relations and fundraising initiatives;

ii. Develop and execute comprehensive advancement strategies and donor engagement programmes;

iii. Provide strategic advice to the Board and Sub-committees regarding PR and fundraising initiatives;

iv. Serve as the primary liaison for key stakeholders, including donors, alumni, external partners, and the Board;

v. Manage and report on success metrics, including funds raised, donor retention, and network growth;

vi. Represent the Foundation externally to enhance its public profile and strengthen community partnerships;

vii. Perform other professional duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the Foundation Office.

 

Requirements:

i. A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is highly preferred.

ii. At least 8 years of senior management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead teams, oversee operations, and execute strategic initiatives.

iii. Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, or strategic financing initiatives, with the ability to contribute to the development of sustainable philanthropic programmes.

iv. Proven ability to cultivate and steward relationships with donors, alumni, parents, and key stakeholders, and to work closely with school leadership and governing bodies.

v. Strong understanding of and commitment to the vision, mission, history, and culture of the School, with meaningful engagement in the school community considered an advantage.

vi. Excellent communication, public relations, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience with events, media, or multi- channel communications.

vii. International exposure and multilingual capability are desirable, reflecting the School’s diverse community and global alumni network.

viii. High integrity, strong work ethics, and sensitivity to the ethical considerations of fundraising in the education sector.
